Bio
Diego Alvarez is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt at Corsair BJJ in Elgin, TX, with four years of consistent training in no-gi. He started boxing and striking as a child—beginning as young as age four—and later added grappling to build a complete mixed martial arts game. That striking base still shows in his stand-up, his entries, and his work as a 1–0 MMA competitor.
On the mats, Diego trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for sport, self-defense, and MMA. He has competed in regional no-gi events out of Corsair, including NAGA Austin and the ADCC US Open in Dallas. His approach is simple: show up, train hard, and keep the striking and grappling connected so students see how a real fight actually flows.
Whether he is rolling, drilling takedowns, or helping newer teammates get comfortable on the feet, Diego brings early striking experience and a competitor’s work ethic to the Corsair room—good for adults who want MMA-ready skills and for kids who need a coach who started young himself.
